... there was a lovely girl with golden hair named Kathy who wanted to earn some extra cash. She called herself Blog Moxie and created a few designs for bloggers she knew. Soon after, she met Joelle, a raven-haired lass with a penchant for making the world a prettier place. In February 2003, Kathy asked Joelle if she wanted make things pretty together. Of course, Joelle said yes, they had a celebratory cocktail, and Moxie Design Studios was born.
Our philosophy "around the office" is "be fancy". Sounds... different, right? Well, we figure you and your website can be anything you want, including fancy.
Kathy has a deep background in the arts, trained by a brilliant artist in high school where she developed her first solid portfolio full of painting and figure drawings. That portfolio awarded her a scholarship as an undergraduate at Rosemont College in Pennsylvania, where she trained as a traditional artist and graduated with a BFA in Studio Art. Her senior thesis exhibition consisited of abstract furniture sculpture and in the process gave her hands multiple blisters from a hot glue gun.
