Description

OFSC District 7, the Muskoka Snowmobile Region, is covered with thick forests of tall trees, a multitude of lakes, rivers, streams and hills of granite. Combine this with the close proximity to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Southern Ontario and it's easy to see what attracts snowmobilers to our region. District 7 stretches from the shores of Georgian Bay to the boundaries of Algonquin Park.

Despite the emergence of many excellent snowmobile destinations in other parts of Ontario, a significant portion of the snowmobile population continues to head for trails located within a reasonable two to four hour drive. Muskoka falls in the heart of this coverage area, providing many OFSC riders with a scenic, established trail network, all within a reasonable distance to their homes.

While other areas in Ontario actually work to increase visitors to their areas, Muskoka continues to be a popular destination by default. This area provides good trails and services - all within reach of a large percentage of Ontario's population. Tourisn snowmobilers view our 699 kilometers of TOP trails (Trans-Ontario Provincial Trails) as their link between Northern and Southern Ontario Communities in the Highways 11 & 400/69 corridors. Including secondary trails, riders enjoy approximately 1,500km of trail in Muskoka.
