Midwest Teacher Training Program
Description
Midwest is a 5-week, 130 hour program with 10 hours of practice teaching. This provides you with much more training and practice than the average 4-week TEFL program. Graduates have found teaching jobs in over 40 countries.
Midwest also has enthusiastic instructors who have taught English in the US and around the globe. The core instructors all have master's degrees in ESL (English as a Second Language) with more than 10 years of professional teaching experience. Our instructors use a hands-on approach with fun, dynamic activities. This gives you the chance to experience and try out new strategies and techniques in a supportive learning atmosphere, while gaining both skills and confidence as a new teacher.
Midwest's TEFL certificate program is offered by WESLI (Wisconsin English as a Second Language Institute), an accredited institution. WESLI, established in 1981, teaches English to over 100 international students from Asia, Latin America, Europe, and Africa. As a trainee, you will have the valuable opportunity to observe and teach actual classes of nonnative speakers, while meeting students from around the world.
