MuchLoved is a UK based charitable organisation established to assist people who have suffered bereavement, particularly the death of a family member or friend. We provide and maintain individual, unique and sensitive online memorial (memorial website) in order to enable you to commemorate, celebrate or simply remember a person you loved and still love.
We also maintain a community to provide you with information on sources of bereavement advice and counselling, as well as mutual support.
If you would like to create your own internet tribute for someone you have lost and cared about, please do give MuchLoved a try. It is very easy to create your tribute and the service has been designed to be as sensitive and as personalised as possible. MuchLoved is dedicated to helping the bereaved work through their grief by enabling people to express and share their feelings and memories.

What You can put on your tribute
All sites are encouraged to have a main picture and some words of commemoration which is then incorporated into a site design.
This may be sufficient for you but there are many areas in which you can develop your tribute if you wish including pictures, music and video. You can add memories into a 'Lifestory' and create a memorial 'Timeline' and you can record your own personal journey of remembrance in a 'Journal' section.
As the creator of the site (the tribute guardian) you can also invite other friends and family to contribute and this ability to share treasured memories and images with each other is one we hope is both helpful and rewarding.
Please remember however that this tribute is yours and has been designed so that you can tailor it exactly as you wish. It will not be any the less if you prefer to keep a simple tribute of memorial instead.
MuchLoved Memorial Websites can also be added to the Remembrance Gardens. This offers a peaceful resting place for a memorial and a choice of beautiful settings.
Fundraising for your charity with a Tribute fund
MuchLoved memorials (Tributes) allow you to nominate a favourite charity so that the memorial you build to your loved one can raise funds for a good cause close to your heart; this is called a Tribute Fund. Donations made by visitors to the memorial are transferred directly to the charity via CAF (the Charity Aid Foundation, a MuchLoved partner and also a registered charity). Unlike many fundraising sites and in line with it's wholly munificent ethos, MuchLoved takes no percentage of any money raised from donations or from any associated gift-aid. Can I choose who can visit?
This is totally up to you - we want it to be your site and for you to decide who, if anyone, you allow or encourage to visit.
When you create your site it will have its own unique internet address (domain) which is where your tribute will be permanently located. We will suggest an appropriate name for you but you are able to amend this to another if you prefer.
Only if you request will your tribute be added to public listings where other people can view. It really is up to you.
If you prefer to keep your site private you can still invite friends and family so that they can visit. We will email them your invitation and they will then have permission as guests to visit whenever they wish to. Anyone else without your invitation will be informed that the tribute is private.
How Long Will my Site last?
We always believed that it was crucial to be able to offer a site that would last in perpetuity. To us it underpins the whole idea of the tribute becoming almost tangible.
Therefore in 2005 our founders were instrumental in establishing an organisation called The Data Trust. This not-for-profit Company is responsible for maintaining online information in perpetuity by way of long term hosting agreements whilst retaining sufficient monies to fund future webspace hosting costs.
Consequently whilst we also offer a 10 year option we can also offer to keep your tribute hosted in perpetuity through the The Data Trust.
