One of the earliest producers of multimedia software, MultiEducator has been providing schools and the general public with rich, compelling history software for almost a decade. MultiEducator CD-ROM's combine photos, audio, primary source documents and original texts into interactive teaching tools which accomplish what no textbook can do alone. While multimedia will not replace books any more than movies or television have caused print matter to disappear, multimedia opens a new dimension to historical exploration. Now, using the World Wide Web, MultiEducator content is available to an even wider audience.
MultiEducator was founded by Amy Erani and Marc Schulman with a single goal in mind to enable students to learn history in a completely new way. Throughout MultiEducator's years in business, the company has continuously expanded its services and product line. MultiEducator's first products was its CD Rom called American History. Version one of that product came on eight floppies without sound or one CD using 60meg. Version 4.111 currently shipping is a two CD set. Version 5.0 will be released in January 2001. Today, the company has twenty-two multimedia software titles and sells over 2,700 products on-line through HistoryShopping.com, and operates a number of Web sites which foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of history.
