We decided that sharing information with you about the real hometown of Minnie Pearl is our most important objective. As Minnie would say, "Y'all come see us!" Grinders Switch, Minnie Pearl's hometown, was based largely on the people, culture, and personalities of the area around Centerville, Tennessee. That area includes Hickman County and the surrounding counties of that once very rural area southwest of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. You can say that we're Music City's backyard.
We have many people involved in making Hickman County and the surrounding area a pleasant place for you to visit. We appreciate your feedback; we'll take your comments and try to improve. We'll try to get the right response to your questions from the right persons as quickly as we can.
