Title

  1. 1 MVP Software-Backgammon, Checkers, Solitaire, Bridge, Euchre, Cribbage, Hearts, Spades, Pinochle and kids games

Description

MVP Software was founded in 1985 as a hobby by Dave Snyder, the owner of the company. In the early years Dave wrote software for the Sanyo 550 series of computers and sold it directly to Sanyo users through magazine advertisements, reviews, and word of mouth. In 1987 MVP began publishing the work of others who had written software for the Sanyo.

By 1991 MVP was growing, and Dave began to work with the company full-time. It was also during that year that the company came to be recognized as a leading publisher of shareware games for the PC. Since 1991 MVP has released many shareware games, and since 1992 it has developed many retail games, including Eddie Kantar's Bridge Companion (Lifestyle Software), The Real Deal (Mindscape), Vegas Fever: High Roller's Edition (Encore Software), 3d Astro Blaster (Egames), Card Club (ValuSoft), Card Classics (Cosmi), Card Crazy 2 (Encore Software), Slot City 2 Plus Video Poker (Encore Software), The Bicycle Card Collection (part of the Windows Entertainment Plus Pack from Microsoft) and numerous others.

If you're not familiar with MVP games, download a few and check them out. While other shareware publishers focus on action games, MVP games are known for the intellectual as well as physical challenges they pose to gamers. For example, if you like word games, try Literati Lite or MVP Wordsearch.
