My History
My History was set up in 2003 to help beginners and experienced genealogists to select and purchase Family Tree software at competitive prices. After looking around I found it very difficult to find a selection of software or when I did I was faced with several different packages and little explanation of what would suit me best. What few local stores I did find were either selling only one piece of software or were offering their range at full price.
I have been researching my own family tree for around eight years and have found it one of the most educational hobbies I have entered into, learning much about the times and places where my ancestors came from.
One of the best things I did was join my local Family History Society in Sheffield as this was where most of recent ancestors appeared to originate from. Local information is key and just hearing about how others have researched their family trees is an encouragement when faced with trying to find that extra link.
