Carole C. Cullen, MA, CFT, LMFT:
Carole Cullen is the President and Founder of My-Therapist, Inc. She developed a team of therapists that specialize in Marriage & Family Therapy to address the current rise in requests for couple and family therapy in our communities. Carole is a licensed marriage and family therapist in North Carolina with years of experience treating individuals, couples and families. She holds a Masters Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Hofstra University and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from SUNY Stony Brook. Carole also has extensive training in Trauma and Bereavement work with individuals, children and families.
Carole is a member of a number of organizations that support the advancement in the field of family therapy including the AAMFT (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy) and NCAMFT (North Carolina Association of Marriage and Family Therapy).
As a therapist trained in family systems, Carole can treat a wide range of serious clinical problems including: depression, anger, marital problems, anxiety, individual psychological problems, and child-parent problems. Her therapeutic style is a brief, solution-focused therapy that drives to attain specific therapeutic goals. This type of solution focused therapy has been proven to be effective and in some cases more effective than standard and/or individual treatments for many mental health problems such as: adult schizophrenia, anger management, affective (mood) disorders, adult alcoholism and drug abuse, children's conduct disorders, adolescent drug abuse, anorexia in young adult women, childhood autism, chronic physical illness in adults and children, and marital distress and conflict.
