CATHERINE GASCON was born in Trois Rivieres, Quebec. Catherine earned her degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Guelph in 1986. In 1991 she opened her business,"My Beautiful Garden", to blend her interests in sculpture, design and gardening.
Every piece of Catherine's garden art is made to be used outside in the garden. She uses concrete because it gives her the versatility, strength and frost resistance she insists upon. Pots, planters, birdbaths and sculptures are made by hand casting using sand, cement and peatmoss in original moulds she has designed and made herself. Her one of a kind works are created by applying mortar to a galvanized wire mesh form.
