Carriage House Designs was opened for business in February, 1993 in the Washington, DC area. It began as a typical interior design firm catering to the local market for an hourly fee. Once the Internet became prevalent it was discovered there wasn't a "one-stop-shop" kind of place for interior design services and products. This website was created!

Over the course of a few years, the website has taken a few turns and twists. It began to provide decorating services and products via the Internet. Because many companies were not quite ready to be active on the Internet, things changed and only interior design services were offered. It again took some time for the world to catch on to the idea of hiring a designer in Virginia to help them in California.

In the summer of 2000, The Decorating Bible, an ebook was created. This book was created to be a step by step guide to decorating a home. Each and every single phase is discussed in detail to help the reader get organized and not overwhelmed by all those decisions that must be made.
