My Thai Story

Well as I alluded to on the homepage, I started this web site to provide information on travel to Thailand for my family and friends. I have been a frequent visitor to Thailand over the years. It started when I first came here with the U.S. Marines in 1995. I spent a couple of months in Sattahip near Pattaya and really fell in love with the place.

I have been coming back over the years and I have been a very frequent visitor to Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand, it is my favorite place in all of the kingdom. About 2 years ago I moved to Thailand to live and I have not regretted it, it is truly a beautiful country filled with very kind people.

Became An Unofficial Tour Guide

Since I have been living here, family members and friends have come over to visit Thailand, with more coming all the time. Whenever they came, I always showed them around town and took them to some of the little hidden treasures that I know about by living here. In the case of my family, I took them to my old stomping grounds in Pattaya and up to see the beauty of Chiang Mai. Every person I have ever traveled with here has fallen in love with the country, for their own unique reasons. They have each expressed to me that the places that I told them about really made their trip, and that I should write a book or something about it. Well I did the next best thing, I created a web site.
