The Mystick Krewe of LAFF Social Aid & Pleasure ClubInc. was founded in 1992 by New Orleans aficionados with the goal of creating a traditional Mardi Gras carnival organization “Krewe” and New Orleans-style Social Aid and Pleasure Club here in Chicago. The group has gained members and momentum over the years. Unlike some traditional New Orleans krewes, LAFF’s membership is diverse in race, ethnicity and orientation.
