The North American Falconers Association (NAFA) was founded in 1961 as a non-profit fraternal organization to improve, aid, and encourage competency in the practice of falconry among interested persons.
To promote conservation of the birds of prey and an appreciation of their value in nature and in wildlife conservation programs.
The Association is an established one that is organized for continuity of activities and functions. NAFA is governed by a Board of Directors and Officers elected from among the Regular Membership. The Board of Directors consists of Regional Directors , one representing each of eight geographical areas; Canadian, North Pacific, South Pacific, Mountain, Central, Great Lakes, Northeastern, and Southeastern, each elected by members from that region.
