Emergency Medicine at NCEMI: emergency medicine and primary care resources
Description edit
Emergency Medicine Resources at NCEMI include more than 100 different tools to help with clinical emergency medicine, medical education, medical research, and ER management. Clinical calculators, reference materials, medical search engines, online books, ekg archives, x-rays, links to other emergency medicine sites, and much more.
The National Center for Emergency Medicine Informatics is a multicenter not-for-profit institute dedicated to the advancement of Emergency Medicine through the application of information technology. At NCEMI, we believe that the greatest advances in medicine over the next two decades will result from the application of the tools and principles of information science to the problems of clinical medicine. New developments in informatics will drive advances in clinical care, medical administration, medical research, and medical education.
NCEMI was originally founded by Dr. Craig Feied and Dr. Mark Smith, both of Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Health / EMC medical group. Dr. Jonathan Handler is NCEMI Director of Development. Dr. Michael Gillam is NCEMI Director of Research. Both Dr. Handler and Dr. Gillam are affiliated with Northwestern University.
