National Federation of Professional Trainers

Since 1988 NFPT has been providing accredited personal training certifications for trainers and fitness educators. They also offer advanced master certification in specialty areas such as resistance training and nutrition.

NFPT is itself accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies.

Continuing education is a necessary part of maintaining the NFPT-CPT credential. It requires two (2) Continuing Education Credits (CECs) per year to maintain accredited certification status.

NFPT has over 300 testing locations to choose from and options for FREE Continuing Education Credits. Electronic copies of all NFPT education materials are provided at no cost by simply registering on the website. Discounted rates are available for groups registering from health clubs.
