I'm often asked to describe what I do, as though everyone is expecting me to say something profound. The answer is simple, though. I take pictures of people, places and situations that I find beautiful or profound or sublime. That's it.
I've been a photographer for as long as I could remember, taking pictures of landscapes and abstract shapes, occasionally taking some pictures to accompany a story for the local newspaper. It wasn't until two years ago that I felt the urge to photograph people regularly.
I feel a real connection to pictures that portray mood or tell a story, and this goes for editorial photos (obviously) as well as fashion and other commercial works.
