Incorporated under the name of ARELCO (an acronym for Auto Rental Leasing Company) and doing business as National Car Rental since 1962, this locally, family owned and operated company has grown from its humble beginnings of two locations, a staff of four and a fleet of 30 vehicles. ARELCO has grown to more than 25 locations, operating in eight states, with a staff of nearly 400 and fleet of 4,000 rental and lease vehicles.
Starting out in the car rental business has taught ARELCO's management the importance of customer service. Ninety percent of National Car Rental's customers are business travelers with busy schedules. If National doesn't exceed the rental customer's expectations, they will take their business elsewhere. This "Customer Comes First " philosophy is what it has taken for ARELCO's National Car Rental franchises to be one of the top of car rental franchises in the country.
In 1980, National Car Sales opened its doors. National Car Rental's "Customer Service First" philosophy has carried over to National Car Sales. National is committed to the Indianapolis market not just for this year, but also for decades to come.
