Description
The NBBC is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization dedicated to the creation and advancement of black businesses. The Council accomplishes this mission through a national alliance of African-American companies and economic development organizations. This alliance was formed to encourage black business Leaders to fully participate in the Federal policy and Legislative process.
Representing this increasingly powerful community of entrepreneurs, NBBC representatives work closely with Capitol Hill Legislators and policy makers on issues of concern to black businesses.
The INBBC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit affiliated entity of the NBBC. The Institute conducts research on issues affecting black businesses and African-American consumers. Equally as important, this think tank serves as a public clearinghouse of business information and educational materials and provides referral services to small businesses in search of vital resources.
