Description
NCARF is the North Carolina Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, the only organization solely representing community rehabilitation programs. Our mission is to support members that provide programs and services to persons with employment barriers. Founded in 1965, NCARF is an established resource for influence, information, education and training, networking, and collaboration with member facilities.
We are comprised of non-profit organizations that provide employment opportunities, training, and job placement to persons with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Our member organizations contract with a variety of state agencies including: the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, the Division of Services for the Blind, the Division of Social Services, and Workforce Development Boards. In addition, our member organization have strong ties to the industry. Many of the Fortune 500 companies outsource work to our members. They have found that our members provide a high quality service at a reasonable price.
System Change leadership in the reform process and representation to various organizations and workgroups (e.g. DD Consortium, Coalition 2001, and Provider Relations Workgroup).
