The Nebraska Corn Board was established in 1978. Since that time, corn producers in Nebraska and the U.S. have gotten better at growing corn and more of it. Increased production means that we have to find new markets and new uses while, at the same time, protecting traditional markets.
The challenge to the Nebraska Corn Board is to manage the checkoff investment to capture the greatest value amidst an everchanging industry, to continue nurturing the markets we’ve been able to establish, and invest in new possibilities and potential. This is important work—work that Nebraska corn producers support through their corn checkoff.
