N.E.C.T.W. (New England Covens of Traditionalist Witches) is a center for Covens of Traditionalist origin. It is one of many traditions of Witchcraft. NECTW has covens and individual elders nationally.
N.E.C.T.W. was named in 1972 by a hereditary witch from New Haven, CT, after the name of her individual coven as her teachings began to spread. Her family tradition blended with popular occultism and was handed down in its present form to her spiritual descendants.
While N.E.C.T.W. shares many things in common with Wicca, we are a Witchcraft tradition, not a Wiccan tradition.
