NeoGeoForLife.com aka Kazuya's Neo Geo Reviews began life way back in early 1999. Back then I was considering making my first website, and I couldn't think of a better subject matter than one of my biggest videogaming loves: the Neo Geo! I threw together a site, uploaded it onto my fairly lame free Fortunecity account and gradually began adding reviews, not really expecting the site to go anywhere (especially with the horrid layout I had at the time!). However after a short while the number of visitors started to rise, so I carried on working on reviewing more and more games.
Around October 1999, I was contacted by an old acquaintance by the name of PeterD, who I had talked to in the past about Neo Geo stuff. PeterD was co-working on the emulation site www.emuhq.com at the time, and offered to get my site hosted. PeterD and the other people on emuhq.com at the time (BWB, Zach) were good enough to help re-design the site and since then the site really took off and the database of reviews and other Neo Geo related content really began to grow.
Over the past few years, NGFL has gone through a couple of total redesigns (the current one being done in early 2005) and now has a staff of people working on it part-time to provide reviews, news and lots of other information. Since the Neo Geo is for all intents and purposes a dead machine with no new (official) software coming out, we have branched out to also provide content for other SNK related material, such as reviews for their games on other systems. The Neo itself is still the primary focus of the site though, as that is still our main passion!
