Little history of Net Blitz
The original idea about Net Blitz II came in 1999 when we were at the University of Sherbrooke. At that time, we were looking for a program that could play Bughouse over the Internet. Our research failed so we thought about creating this game ourselves.
By chance, an optional University class would let students do a project of their own, supervised by a teacher. Our teacher Richard Egli was very cool to accept our project. We put a lot of effort into Net Blitz at that time (undoubtedly more that into our ordinary classes) because we were passionate and we had put our personal goals very high. Fortunately, our teacher gave us A+ grade for the project.
