From market niche to market leader
From 200 PCs to more than 2,500,000 in one decade – that’s one way to describe enteo’s rapid growth. Actually it was 200 computers on which company co-founder, Stephan Glathe, needed to install software in 1995. Instead of spending many days doing the manual work, the IT expert invested two days of brainwork, and figured out how to automate the entire installation.
In search of a labor saving solution, he discovered a new market niche. His model for automating software installation and administration was unique. Thus, from the original idea, a profitable enterprise developed: NetSupport, known today as “enteo”.
Since the company’s foundation in 1995, the name NetSupport represented the steady growth of our enterprise. However, during our scheduled expansion into other countries, we discovered some limitations with the name under foreign trademark laws. That’s why, in September 2004, we started doing business under the name, “enteo”. The new name comes from “entheatus”, which means, “to be thrilled (or delighted) by something”. At enteo, we want you to be delighted by both our solutions and our wide-range of services.
