Newton's Library was originally founded in 1998 and existed on the algonet.se domain. Its founder and original head librarian was known as AQ. It remained there until 2003, and was relocated under its current domain in 2004, now hosted by Saugus.net with the new head libriarian Eric W. Brown. AQ moved on to maintain the blog known as Purple and Grey.
Since its relocation, it has added a search interface and a Newton book reader plug-in for Mozilla, but relatively few new books.
