Nextgen as a trading style was formed in early 1996 as part of an international courier business that began to import Japanese videogames for a select number of shops in the UK.
Whilst price is usually a dominating factor when it comes to an import retailer’s success, we found it difficult to find an import retailer that offered, along with competitive prices, both a good customer service and a wide range of product knowledge. Nextgen, as a business in it’s own right, was ‘born’ in early 1997. Actively promoting our knowledge in both the videogames industry and the import market we feel that we have more to offer than most of our competition.
This aspect of our customer service has ensured that we are quickly becoming regarded as one of the UK’s (and indeed Europe’s) best known and most respected import retailers.
