About Nioka Bears!

Hi...My name is Christine Welsh and I have been making bears now since April 1999 (Can it really be that long? My... that is a scary thought!!)

While I am no longer making bears on a regular basis I do hope all my wonderful 'bear friends' will stay in touch! Oh and if you are new here....do take a look at some of my previous creations! Like all artists...I still like to hear any comments! Or join my Update List....just in case a new bear or 2 sneaks into existence! LOL!

All bears are my own design and all are crafted from quality fabrics, mainly mohair, and that is mostly Schulte. I use quality threads and accessories throughout. All my bears are jointed (Unless otherwise stated) and also have an embroidered nose. All my bears come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity which includes a photo of the bear and is laminated to last a lifetime. All bears are adorned with a genuine Australian Gemstone to remind them of home.
