- The website was originally conceived by Dallas Dahms, a South African amateur photographer, back in September of 2005. The intention was to create a web-based repository of information relating to photographic equipment for Nikon users, but since the addition of the user forum in April of 2006 the site has been more centered around the global community it attracts and the pictures that they take with their Nikon cameras.
