NJMUG: New Jersey Macintosh Users Group, Inc.
Description
The New Jersey Macintosh Users Group, Inc. (NJMUG) was founded in 1985 as a non-profit organization to help Macintosh computer users obtain information and support on Macintosh products and services. NJMUG promotes knowledge of Macintosh computers and related hardware and software. It helps members make better decisions when purchasing Macintosh products and enriches their use and enjoyment of the Macintosh system.
NJMUG is sponsored by the Industrial Studies Department of Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. Meeting attendance is free to all students, faculty and staff of the college. Members of the general public who are considering membership in NJMUG may attend two general meetings as NJMUG guests; otherwise, meetings are open to members only.
NJMUG promotes the dissemination of information about the Macintosh throught general meetings and a monthly newsletter. The meetings start with a question and answer period which helps members solve a variety of problems from the simple to the sublime. The second half consists of presentations on hardware and software from vendors and NJMUG members.
