- Odyssea Marine, Inc. was organized in 1998 to meet the marine transportation needs of the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico . In 1998, Odyssea Marine, Inc. purchased North Bank Towing Corporation and in conjunction with other acquisitions offered tugs and towing vessels, power barges and also provided shipping and stevedoring services. At the time it was acquired, North Bank Towing Corporation had been serving the offshore oil and mineral industry for over 25 years. Further, the company had worked vessels all over the world and maintained a continuous presence in Mexico , working in that country since the late 1970's as it does today. Odyssea Marine, Inc. in 2002 and 2003 divested the power barges and shipping operations and sharpened its focus on tugs and anchor handling towing supply vessels.
