Our mission statement refers to our commitment to improve the quality of the economic, social and cultural life in North Tipperary by the provision of the services in co-operation with other Statutory Agencies, Local Community Groups and the public.
During 2000, significant progress was made in achieving this aim through the hard work and dedication of our Members, Management and Staff together with the many representatives of other state agencies, local community groups and the general public. The continued development of a modern, vibrant Organisation, capable of providing a range of quality services to the citizens of North Tipperary is dependent on these partnerships.
The County of Tipperary is divided into two administrative areas referred to as Ridings. Both Ridings have a separate County Council each with its own distinctive culture and identity. North Tipperary was established under the Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1898 and provides a range of services to the citizens of North Tipperary.
