To bolster the success of this new system, NVLSP worked to ensure that veterans could secure representation on appeal. NVLSP has been in the forefront of creating a safety net for veterans who have been unable to obtain an advocate.
The National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP) has been the voice of veterans’ rights for more than 25 years. NVLSP is an independent, non-profit, charitable organization acting to ensure that the U.S. government honors the pact made with our 25 million veterans.
As a conduit for change against unfair government practices, NVLSP has been instrumental in the passage of landmark veterans’ rights legislation. Lawsuits brought by NVLSP attorneys have forced the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in benefits to veterans and their families.
