- NWSLC is in its 17th year at Portland State University. Each year over 500 students from across the United States converge on the PSU campus for three days of workshops, forums, speakers and networking. NWSLC offers students over 125 workshops that focus on issues affecting students in post-secondary education. NWSLC is also committed to direct action organizing and offers its attendees a wide verity of skill-based workshops. The conference also brings in speakers who address issues such as activism, the student loan industry and diversity. Each year our NWSLC forum is attended by hundreds of students who come to learn about important issues such as increasing students' electoral power and how to lower tuition in tough economic times.
