- Ohloh is a resource for open source intelligence on thousands of open source projects. Ohloh collects software metrics from a variety of sources including the project's source code and the software development infrastructure used by the project's development team.
Ohloh is also a social networking site for open source users and developers. Registered users can indicate which open source projects they use by adding them to their "Stack". Ohloh can then suggest other users with similar Stacks, as well as suggest other open source software the user might be interested in. Registered developers can indicate which projects they've contributed to, allowing them to gain "Kudos" from other users and gain rank in an overall list of Open Source contributors. This provides social gratification to open source contributors who otherwise remain obscurely in the background.
