Description

The information below briefly describes what the Oilfield Helping Hands (OHH) is all about. Let me summarize; OHH is about helping oilfield families in critical need, it is about raising monies and keeping costs down, it is about feeling good knowing you have helped somebody, it is about having fun.

The organization was started in 2003 by several Halliburton Baroid employees when a sporting clay tournament was held to benefit a fellow employee. The event was such a huge success that the group decided to continue their efforts. We gained momentum along the way as the word spread of how OHH had raised over $24,500 at its first event to benefit somebody in the oilfield. New members from outside companies were recruited. So far the interest in what we are doing has continued to grow and actually has been a little overwhelming. We currently have over 50 companies represented in our group and 87 members and those numbers are growing every day. We have now held two sporting clays events, one Saltwater Fishing Tournament, and one golf tournament. Our next event is the 2006 OHH Annual Sporting Clays Tournament on April 28th, 2006. We may also put on other events if the need arises.

In short, we would love for you to consider joining our ranks and lending us a helping-hand. If you are unable to volunteer, maybe you can donate funds through sponsorship of a sporting clay team or golf team. Or if you know someone who might be interested, please pass this information on. Our events WILL be fun and they WILL benefit someone/family in the oilfield, maybe even someone from your organization!!! If you want more information call the number below or plan to attend our next meeting which is scheduled for June 15, 2005 at Halliburton on Bellaire.
