- The Okaloosa Arts Alliance held its 4th annual open house, “Art Reflections” on May 20, 2007 at Pasarda Hall in FWB. Hundreds came to see local artists’ and organizations’ displays, demonstrations, and performances. “Art Reflections” was emceed by Bill Campbell and included performances by the Emerald Coast Pipe & Drum, Emerald Coast Writers, Highsteppers, Oz, Emerald Coast Children’s Theater, Emerald Coast Chorus, Pensacola Opera, Okaloosa Chamber Singers, and North Florida Youth Symphony. There were demonstrations by the Arts and Design Society and the Pastel Society of North Florida. A beautiful floral display was created by Pastel Society member Peggy Hodges. Other participants included Sinfonia Gulf Coast, Heritage Museum, Stagecrafters Community Theatre, Northwest Florida Symphony Guild, Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation, Youth Village, Philharmonic Society of NWF, and the Emerald Coast Concert Association. Refreshments were provided courtesy of member organizations as well as donations from Longhorns, Brooks Bridge BBQ, Sam’s Club, and Wal-mart.
