Omnicore Software is a privately held company located in Karlsruhe, Germany. It was founded in 1998 to develop cutting-edge software development tools. We are specialiced in the development of semantic-driven development environments, i.e. tools that analyse the program under construction.

Our first product was the Java IDE CodeGuide, which has been released in March 1999. In 1999 CodeGuide was the first IDE to offer on-the-fly error analysis. In 2000 CodeGuide was the first IDE to offer project-wide on-the-fly error analysis and compilation. In 2002 CodeGuide was the first IDE to support generic Java. In 2005 CodeGuide pioneered back-in-time debugging.

Our latest product is the cross-language cross-platform IDE X-develop. X-develop is the first semantic-driven IDE for the C# language. It is also the first semantic-driven IDE which integrates several languages and platforms into one environment and it is the first IDE to offer cross-language refactoring.
