Developed by OmniGroup with the Macintosh in mind, OmniWeb is a web browser featuring an attention to detail Mac fans might take for granted in their OS, but have found lacking in the popular web browsers ports from Windows-based machines.
Features
Improved Tabs -- Making OmniWeb unique from an interface aspect is the improved way the software displays tabs. Beyond the typical browser standards, OmniWeb features a tab drawer with thumbnailed graphics depicting your open pages, making searching through them a lot easier than just looking at the obscure page naming practices of some websites.
Shortcuts -- Like some fancy add-ons for web browsers, OmniWeb has a shortcuts feature for any searchable website. Without having to install plugins, search from your location bar or via a pull down menu for interesting things on Google.com, The Internet Movie Database, Dictionary.com or your other favorite sites.
Ad Blocking -- Customize ad blocking by more than just a simple "ads on" or "ad off" feature. OmniWeb allows users to choose to view pop-ups only when they ask for them, or to block ads from known servers, or just plain block all Flash content.
Workspaces -- Another cool feature is the "workspaces" option, allowing users to close down their browser without losing all the windows they had open. Users can save open pages, tabs, history and even location of windows on their screen with the click of a button.
Site Preferences -- Users can customize their habits with respects to specific websites. Set download locations, text size, pop-up windows and advertising tolerences and other preferences based on specific sites.
And More... -- Of course, OmniWeb helps manage bookmarks, RSS feeds, cookies, passwords, and comes with a built-in spellchecker among other features.
