Open Tech Support

Description

Open Tech Support is a not-for-profit, volunteer-driven site that promotes free technical support, as well as a fun community for both techies and newbies to converge upon.

Originally started in 1999 (under the name The Big Red X) as a hobby site to support the tech community that has been started in Blizzard Entertainment's matchmaking service, Battle.Net (specifically in a channel by the same name), Open Tech Support slowly grew into something that was not limited to just gaming. OTS.Net began to embrace technology as an whole, spreading its wings to encompass both hardware and software, as well as other subsets of computer technology that its host of members and volunteers can share their expertise on.

And year after year, Open Tech Support keeps growing - its members and volunteers increasing in numbers, and the scope of the site becoming more and more ambitious. At its heart, OTS.Net is still a hobby site - an informal gathering of intellectuals and good samaritans, who are willing to share their knowledge without expecting anything in return.
