OPRI - Oregon PERS Retirees
Excerpted from the website description:
- We are a non-profit group of public agency retirees from the state, counties, cities, and school districts of Oregon. We organized in 1991 to protect our PERS retirement system from political abuse. Members include former researchers and university professors, retired assistant attorneys general, judges, program managers, administrative assistants, and all types of clerical, business, and professional personnel. With the exception of one part-time position, OPRI is staffed entirely by volunteer workers. OPRI has been a party to several successful law suits in defense of retirement benefits for PERS workers and retirees and provides current information to PERS workers and retirees about issues that impact their retirement benefits.
