Who is This Guy?
This site is designed, coded and updated by me, Steve Smith. I live with my wife and a few miscellaneous animals in South Bend, Indiana, USA. I work as the lead Web Developer for the University of Notre Dame Web Group, and do my best to convince my friends that web standards should be a way of life. Most of them, having nothing to do with web design, don't really care. But they should.
This site was designed as a place for me to convey some of my ideas and keep a record of my thoughts. If it helps people code better websites, then that will make me happy. In general, I really want a place for me to try new ideas and bounce them off of other people and get their thoughts. You can help me out by making comments, whether you agree with me or not.
About This Site
This site is personally designed and developed by me. It uses WordPress and its theme system to manage the content and presentation. Photos are displayed from Flickr using the Addicted to Flickr php class, and Bookmarks by del.icio.us and MySQLicious. The search AJAX is controlled by the Prototype javascript library, and the effects are controlled by Scriptaculous.
