www.originalartshop.co.uk is the ecommerce site of The Original Art Shop, a Washington Green Partnership Gallery established in Preston, Lancashire in 1988 by the current owners, Robin and Sheila Carter. They sell all of Washington Green's publications including the acclaimed Drawn Blank Series of Limited Edition Graphics by Bob Dylan and work by such artists as Caroline Shotton, Jeff Rowland, Paul Horton, Peter Smith, Sarah Graham, Alexander Millar, Drew Darcy, Daisy Boman and John Waterhouse. Robin was the 7th person to pass the stringent Fine Art Trade Guild's Commended Framer exam and they can frame almost anything to high standards in their onsite workshop. Robin and Sheila Carter opened the Original Art Shop in the St George's Centre in the heart of Preston City Centre in Lancashire in August 1988. Originally a franchised shop, the business became totally independant in 1993 when the franchise group fell victim to the early 1990's recession and since then that have thrived and prospered.
The owners have a simple mission - to provide high quality, value for money art and framing from their city centre premises.
In 2008 they became a Washington Green Partnership gallery offering the very best in contemporary limited edition prints, sculpture and originals to their customers.
Also in 2008, they became one of the few authorised stockists of the Drawn Blank Series of Limited Edition Graphics by one of the world's greatest artists - Bob Dylan.
