Orion's mission is to bring people together --- families, friends, youth groups, companies and organizations --- to enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. We are dedicated to building a strong staff who share in our vision and who are determined to carry it out in the safest and most satisfying manner possible.
What began as an internship through Western Washington University's Recreation Program has become, 28 years later, a Washington institution. Owned and operated by one of the original five founding partners and friends, Orion seeks to improve customer service and the outdoor experience we provide with each passing season.
We select our guides carefully, preferring that they attend our intensive and comprehensive spring training program, rather than hiring them through other outfitter's recommendations or through 'credentials' from out-of-state.
