Hugo was born and raised on the fair island of Britain, near France, which is why he is the perfect man for the job of editor of the premier guide to South Africa. It allows him to remain objective and see the country without rose-tinted spectacles, thus offering you the reader a more balanced outlook on the country... which just happens to be the most awesome place in the world to go on holiday!
Barry is an experienced newspaper and magazine journalist who is passionate about Cape Town, magazine design and tequila. When he is not staring at an Apple Mac screen he runs an indigenous tree nursery and is convinced that swimming in the icy Atlantic Ocean is fun. Despite 10 years of practice he is still to master the basics of playing the piano.
Sue Baguley landed on the shores of South Africa in 1991 carrying a suitcase of experience in the publishing industry. She soon put that experience to practical use with the launch of SA Auto Trader and gained more experience with her involvement in many of SA’s leading publishing houses. Sue has now brought that great big suitcase with her to The Other Guide.
