The Outer Banks Visitors Bureau is the lead marketing and promotional agency for The Outer Banks of North Carolina and is funded by one percent of the occupancy tax and one percent of the prepared meals tax, collected in Dare County.

Located at MP 1 in Kitty Hawk and operated by The Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, the center provides information on attractions, events and directions. The center also offers an accommodations reservation center, rest rooms, public phones and picnic area.
