Page Name Convention

AboutUs is much more than a domain directory. It's an editable resource that describes organizations, businesses, products, services etc. Still, pages are usually named after the domain names of websites. Title of the page then links to the original website (see we link you). The rationale for adopting this naming convention is that domain names are unique identifiers, in other words we don't need to have disambiguation pages for similarly titled pages. Unlike wikipedia where the emphasis is on notability, AboutUs deals with everything, even the things that only a small group of people are interested in. Using unique identifiers as names of the pages is therefore crucial because creating disambiguation pages for all pages with similar titles out of hundreds of millions of pages is hardly sustainable. So the vast range of pages that exist on AboutUs make it necessary for us to choose domain names as page titles.
