With every order you will receive prompt service, a small free gift & Paloma Pottery's 100% Guarantee on all products.

Each piece is made by collecting glass jars, beer bottles etc. from roadsides, trails or any other place that people leave trash. I then bust the glass into small particles and infuse them into pottery. The unique shapes and positioning of each fragment insures each piece to have a sparkle and depth that is truly unique. The crackle glass surface created is smooth to touch and sparkles with profound rich colors and textures. read more

Additional Information

About Recycled Glass Infused Pottery... Using many of the same techniques used in traditional pottery, and then adding broken pieces of recycled glass for the kiln to melt, is the essence of the recycled glass infused pottery process. The crackle glass surface created is smooth to touch and sparkles with profound rich colors and textures. Other textures and designs in the clay are achieved with natural and found objects (impressing or drawing with rocks, shells, etc.) giving an organic, nature inspired feeling. Each piece is created to be a functional piece of art with as much versatility as possible. The crackle glass surface is semi-porous and fully heat resistant. This makes it useful for soap dishes, coasters, trivets, candleholders, and more. However, no consumable liquids or foods should be placed on the glass. Mission Statement... Providing unique recycled products at affordable prices. Excellent prompt customer service. Sustainable and socially responsible business practices.

No inflated prices, simple pleasures. Paloma Pottery offers unique recycled glass pottery products at affordable prices. Whitney is passionate about creating a quality recycled product and passing on the savings to the customer. "I am frugal, reuse as much as possible and seldom waste ~ allowing me to keep my prices low without sacrificing quality." About the Potter... Beginning with pottery classes in 1995, I soon found my niche combining clay and glass, creating functional art for the home and garden and providing affordable gifts for both men and women. I am always trying to find use for things that may otherwise be thrown away. Naturally, I was inspired to recycle glass in my pottery and created my line Recycled Glass Infused Paloma Pottery. It never ceases to amaze me how discarded things can become art and transform into something not only useful, but beautiful.

Reduce, re-use, recycle as a mission, I began my business in 2000. As a profession, it has been profoundly rewarding and therapeutic. I'm a hard worker and wear most of the hats in my business, which is both challenging and empowering. Though I currently live and work in Washington State, much of my learning was with my mentor, Liz Vigoda, in Albany, New York. Another mentor, the founder of the Body Shop, Anita Roddick, inspired me with her belief that social responsibility in business is just good practice and good business. I truly enjoy donating pieces to help raise funds for charities and nonprofit organizations. I can only hope to move people the way that so many have moved me. read more
