Mr Paolo Longo, [alias Paolo Adolfo Rino von Deggendorf-Longo], well known as a great european Artist, Professor of "Musichistory" and "Musical Languages of XXth Century" at Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome/ area UniRomaTre(Third Statal University of Rome), is one among best jazz-pianists composers and hammondists on the world; he is also leader of an outstanding fusion-band 'ROME AHEAD' jazz&soulfunky group in Rome/Italy, by Forbeat Editor in Milan(and then by : Longosouljazid-Music ); moreover Paolo is an appreciated Professor of musicology/ethnomusicology and sociology of music [as musicologist was graduated at Bologna-University under direction of Prof.Luigi Rognoni, Prof.Aldo Clementi and Prof.Roberto Leydi ; as composer he studied at 'Santa Cecilia'-Conservatorium in Rome, and privately in Europe]: then he studied privately so Piano under direction of Q.Petrocchi, as Composition under magistry of Goffredo Petrassi, Aldo Clementi, Giancarlo Chiaramello in Rome; under M° Maurice Gendron in Paris, and M° Robert Maximilian Helmschrott, and M°Al Porcino in Munich/ Germany. Paolo toured all over the world during around fourtheen years with many famous bands and famous european and american jazzmen(Musicians of great fame). He's working at the moment as Professor of "Theorie-Analysis-Composition" at "Farnesina" and "Giordano Bruno" Music High-Schools of Metropolitan City of Rome(Italy). Paolo is renowned also as Aesthetologist, follower of Professor Emanuele Severino.

Paolo writes music for some european new Film-directors; at the same time he has been working as musicologist for the film "Aeterna"(2012, Rome) by Leonardo Carrano, that's a great experimental 'animation-movie' on opus KV626 "Requiem" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He's graduated in Musicology at the University of Bologna/Italy, and works in Rome as freelance-professor for Composition, Harmony&Counterpoint, jazz piano, hammond-organ, and aestethology too. After touring as an outstanding jazz-pianist hammondist and composer in several groups in Europe and in USA for many years [he was living in Germany during around ten years], Paolo comes back home to Rome/Italy, really more appreciated in Germany, Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Great Britain, France, Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Canada and USA, Poland and Russia, than in his own country Italy, as usually it is. Presently he lives with his son Ermanno in Anzio, on the seaside close to Rome, and works as leader and composer of swunky/fusion-group "Rome-Ahead". For three years Paolo has been member of jury of the IJA-Italian Jazz Awards, a famous prize Barbara Flores dedicated to the memory of the genial pianist Luca Flores-her brother- who died prematurely.
