- ere we are, standing in front of the island Bequia (pronounced beck-way) in the Grenades, for which we named our 40 foot sports fishing vessel. The island is pristine, sleek and has a rich past. It is said to be the birth place of Queegquay, from the legendary tale of Moby Dick, and hosts pods of whales year round. We fell in love with the sound of the name and its history.
